I stopped here for a very nice lunch. Because this noodle shop usually has awaiting line, I felt lucky to be seated immediately. My luck continued as I was greeted with a wonderful bowl of hot soba noodles, a fresh salad with toasted buckwheat grains, and a lovely shrimp tempura, complete with shiso tempura. From the house made noodles to the warm efficient service, everything was just right. Highly recommended.

Very nice soba restaurant with a great atmosphere and attention for ingredients. It’s also a very beautiful restaurant that offers you the chance to observe the way to make soba. I liked the food I tried. The staff was quite gentle and efficient to explain the different kind of soba and their taste. Just a little bit pricy. Good for a second try!

My favorite place for lunch in whole Kyoto! I think the best tempura is made here. Soba is also very good. I absolutely love the welcome buckwheat drink! All is very tasty, fresh, good-smelling. Very helpful staff. Normal price. Amazing traditional design. I absolutely advise this tasty place.

We are lunch here on our vacation to Kyoto before going to the botanical garden. The soba noodles were fantastic, there was a lot of food and the side dishes were delicious as well. We loved the atmosphere, there was a private room for us and you can also watch them make the soba noodles! It was a wonderful experience. We don't speak much japanese, but they have an English menu and it was not difficult to communicate.

Great soba, popular with locals, amazing price performance. English menus available but note that they aren't always updated so you should really make sure you take a look at the Japanese one as well for seasonal specials.
